About me
My research investigates the relationships between body and space, understanding the body as a territory of memory and space as a field of inscription, displacement, and transformation.
My training in performing arts and my nearly two decades of acting experience directly influence my visual production, especially in constructing a state of presence and activating the body in relation to space.
The work develops from mapping procedures—of the body or of space—that unfold into operations of abstraction. In this process, I seek to challenge boundaries, displace forms, and produce reconfigurations that destabilize fixed readings of presence and belonging.
I am primarily interested in the interval: the "between" as a zone of passage where matter and sensation intersect. It is in this field that I activate and elaborate memories, understanding each work as a vestige of relationships—marks of bodies, spaces, and encounters that mutually modify each other.
I work in a non-hierarchical way with different supports and materials. Drawing is a recurring starting point, from which the research expands to painting, objects, and interventions in materials such as wood, tile, and leather. More than technique, I am interested in the coherence between gesture, material, and concept.
